Shipping to Netherlands

    I need to return an item to the Netherlands which is a 15x14x9cm parcel and weights 2.5kg. An Post website is estimating the cost at 40 euro which is insane. Does anyone know where I will get a cheaper service with a reasonable delivery time?

    They charge by dimensions, not by weight. Your parcel should be of XS size which would be € 21,- to the Netherlands.

    I use them all the time whenever I have to post items more then 2kg.

    Hmmm, that page quotes for the "15x14x9cm parcel" of the OP from Ireland to the Netherlands:

    FedEx World Express 34.66 + VAT -> 42.63
    Nightline Express Saver 39.33 + VAT -> 48.38
    GLS Europe 39.95 + VAT -> 49.14
    Nightline Express 46.37 + VAT -> 57.04

    on the GLS Page you are quoted for the same parcel and destination € 21.00 incl. VAT
    An Post would charge you for the same parcel and destination € 36.00 incl. VAT (Standard) and € 41.00 incl. VAT (registered)
