No Satellite signal being received - Error 29

    Hello

I have problem with my sky (using for getting free to air channels)

From last week I am getting this error message No Satellite signal being received - Error 29

I check the dish and tubular support for LMB was bend/half broken due to corrosion (5 year old)

So I order new dish and LMB through ebay €33.00 , fix myself, check with basic signal meter to know signal strength, working perfect near dish and near sky box, but after all this checking /changing system setup/LMP setup setting, change scart cable etc no GOOD NEWS!!!!

I took my sky box to my friend’s house and connect its working perfect so what the problem in my house?

I don’t want to spend lot of money on this, professional satellite engineers asking 100 to 120 euro due to recession…..

If anyone know how to sort out this mess?

One possibility is that your dish is pointing at the wrong satellite. Try realigning the dish. There is a useful video on this forum showing how to set up a dish. Cannot locate it at the moment but it may be on the satellite.ie website.

This site can be very useful for aligning a dish, particularly if you can zoom in close enough for recognisable landmarks.

Also gives the correct elevation figure for your location.
