Ford Transit Ignition sticking, help!!

Hi all. I have a 03 Ford Transit(2.4 l td rear wheel drive). Lately it is getting harder to get key to turn in ignition. Took 10 mins this morning. Key does look worn. What is involved in fitting a new barrel? Is immobiliser (if any) affected by this as different key will be used to turn ignition?

try some wd40 in lock that might help

tried wd40. It seems that the key and barrel are worn.
