I've been looking into moving from karting to another form of Motorsport. Does anyone here know much about Global Lights Racing in Ireland? I hadnt heard of it until know so Im wondering is it popular? What are the costs like? Whats speeds would you get out of the cars?

Small enough class size, cars are simple enough and if your moving from Karting you should feel at home. They are powered by 600cc bike engines so they rev nice and high and are quick. However the front nose-cone area is all one solid piece and if you break it its big money. If it was me personally I would go for the Strykers, cheaper, larger class and easier to run.

What about vee's? How much are they compared to strikers?

Thanks for the info Lightning! Been looking into the Strykers since you suggested it and it is a category that does interest me. I'd be looking to do some racing in the UK also so I'd be looking for a series that also runs over there. I've do alot of searching but cant find anything regarding Stryker races in the UK. Is there a series?

Just trying to compare the Global Lights and Strykers. Would you have the answers to a few questions....

How much to the Global Lights and Stryker cars generally cost?
What would it cost (roughly) do complete in either?
    What speeds would both do?

I have raced in both classes. (Globals and Strykers)

I think the Global GT Lites would be the better class, especially if you want to do some UK races. They normally have 3/4 races per season in the UK.

Both would cost broadly the same amount.
