I was driving out the bandon road early this morning and spotted a large group of cyclists just heading off on a spin in the west Cork direction, as i am looking to join up with a decent size group for spins for the winter and beyond i'm wondering if this is a weekly meet up and would they welcome one more for the group, any info about meeting place, routes etc would be very welcome, Thanks.

As far as I know Cork County Cycling Club do Saturday morning spins. They meet by the end of the Kinsale road so it may have been them. They do longish spins on Saturdays and were doing Tuesday night ones from the Opera House in the summer.
I don't know enough about them to say if they still are on this schedule but at least you have a contact point. Google them if you are not on facebook and give them a buzz.

    Happy cycling.

Also, be sure to check out De Ronde van Cork CC (our name is a tongue-in-cheek homage to De Ronde van Vlaanderen). We have 60+ members of widely varying abilities and experience levels. We do sportives, multi-day tours in Ireland, overseas expeditions, drink coffee and eat cake. Some of us race from time to time too but that's not really our focus. Training rides are on Saturday and Sunday mornings. From March to September the Saturday ride is on the pacey side but we go into cruise mode once October comes around. The Sunday ride is at strictly social pace all year round. There are a mixture of men and women in both groups. Check out our Facebook page to get a feel for what we're about. You can message us through Facebook or by email to committee@derondevancork.cc (please don't use PM here on boards.ie).
