Half Marathon Plan Question

    Hi :)

I'm planning on running my first half marathon in Waterford in December and I've been following the Hal Higdon novice 2 plan for the past 2 weeks.
My problem is that I'm starting college next week so is it ok if I switch around a couple of the days? Because I don't have time for 3 midweek runs so is it ok to switch the cross training day on sunday for once of the runs in the middle of the week?

Also is it ok to run one of my runs per week on a treadmill? Will it affect my training in any way?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

    Hi Emma,

It's fine to switch around runs in order to suit you better, but it's still important to get all the prescribed runs in at some point during the weekday, cross training can't replace running. Also it is fine to do one of your runs a week on the treadmill as long as most of your runs (especially the long run) are done on the road. Good Luck.

    Thanks pconn062 :)

Sorry I phrased that badly, I didnt mean I would be substituting a run for cross training, I just meant switching the days around.
