JCB 3Cx Slipping out of gear

    Hi
I am about to buy a JCB 3Cx for a good price, to help out when building my house, but the problem with it is, it keeps slipping out of gear. All gears. If you keep you hand up against the gear leaver, it stays in gear, but when you take away your hand, it slips out .

Can anyone tell me, whats causing this, and would this be hard to fix?

    Thanks,

    Jo

nylon bushing on the bottom of the gear stick worn out most likely where it goes into the gearbox

selector fork/ring problem? It takes about an hour to pull the box when you know how, then get it done up-if the machine is otherwise good, it would not really put me off. I've taken out torque converter versions in 45 mins and stuck a new one back on within another hour- access is good and they are well known and understood, so no biggie. Allow a grand for all and price accordingly??
