Further strengthens EI's Star Alliance ties. The BA relationship has turned sour it would seem.

According to that article all EI operations at LHR are being moved to T2. Am I correct in thinking that EI currently use T1, (with the tinny sheds)? Are EI giving up much in moving? I just always thought that where they are now is very convenent to the runways.

T2 is under construction at the moment and is just as convenient to the runways.
However I wonder if there will be facilitation made for the CTA and associated bypass of immigration if they do move?

Once Terminal 2 or what was Terminal 2 is completed it will only be half the planned construction. A lot bigger than the previous terminal. Terminal 1 will then come under the buldozer and when re constructed will be part of Terminal 2. Almost a copy of Terminal 5. To be renamed West Base.

Terminal 5 to be further extended.

That's good news for EI, especially after hearing the bad news with BA.

Strong rumours that the EI/BA codeshare may be ending.

The only official news concerning Ireland and BA is the doubling of flights between Dublin and Heathrow from 4 to 8 on October 28, for the winter schedule. Haven't heard anything else even in rumour control.
