Working in France for Irish company

    Hi all,

If say, someone was working for an Irish company, but living in France - where would they pay their tax?

    Is there a choice?

If, say for example, they were paying their tax in Ireland, would it be an option to pay tax in France instead?

    Cheers

This isn't a straightforward question, and will depend on the individual and a few concepts called residence ordinary residence and domicile, and also the Ireland France Double Tax treaty. Some local French tax knowledge would be required also.

Depending on circumstances, Irish tax and French tax could both be due (but a credit received in Ireland for French tax paid.)

Much more detail would be required to answer, but on this, I'd say professional advice should be sought.
