Are you working now? If not, take it. It might not be your dream job. But it will do until that one comes along.

If your not working now take it. Just cause you take it doesnt mean you have to stop looking for a better job.

Its some money coming in and you might meet build some contacts that can help you get a better job.

Would echo what the others have said, if you're currently out of work then definitely take it. You can still look for another job and having work down on your CV looks far better than being on the dole.

Don't refuse a job, just take it and keep an eye out for other jobs that you'd be more into.

It fills in a gap on the cv, and employers seem to prefer taking on someone who is in a job (no matter what it is) rather than someone on the dole.

Surely even for your own sanity, u'd rather be doing something than just sitting around applying and hearing nothing from other jobs.

  • Definitely take it if you're unemployed. I have no idea where people get the idea they should be happy and excited about a job. Most people's feelings about work range from 'meh' to 'can't stand it'. It's a necessary evil for most people. The idea that you can just sit around waiting for the ideal job is really alien to me.

I don't really like my current job - it's quite a commute and involves working with kids, which I didn't really want, but it's a job. I use my free time to look for jobs in the area I really want to work in - I've been doing an online application for the last 2 hours. I'm on LinkedIn, various industry forums and websites for the career I want to get into and I do a lot of voluntary work in that field. Even if I never get into it, I've built up a lot of experience in the career I'm in now (which is grand, just not what I always wanted to do), so could progress further in that and find jobs more suited to me.

    Take it!

    Thanks guys !!

At first i was really hesitant i think alot had happened that i was nearly scared to get back into work.

Im now excited and moving up tomorow to be near the job. sometimes you need to push yourself even if its not always what we want.

    Thanks :)
