    Hi All,

At what age would you consider it too late to take a position as an audit senior in a Top 10 firm.

I am qualified and have been in a small/medium firm for nearly 10 years - I recently was offered an Audit Senior role in a Top 10 firm - because I dont really have managerial experience coming from my firm now.

Would I be right in thinking 35 is past it lol?

    I wouldn't say so.

I know a guy who started a training contract when he was thirty so he'd be approx 34 or so now. There are some who would be a little bit younger when qualifying (30-32). It might be a bit tougher to adjust as most of the trainees / other seniors will be younger and some of the managers would be mid to late 20s. If you don't think you'd have trouble working for/with people of that age I would say go for it if you feel it's a good move.

If you are interested in gaining the experience why not? Yes you will be a bit older that most of the seniors, but you'll be bring a lot of maturity and experience to the table as well...
