i have a version of said game. lets not ask how, but i do. after mounting it with dameon tools and installing it... i tried to start it and it's complaining about the graphics. i tried lowering the settings for resolution and shadowing etc, and it still persists.

    the error message is:

"FATAL ERROR: renderer #0 could not be initialized! Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. check log file for more information."

i wouldnt exactly shy away from updating the pc and windows itself so the drivers would be up to date.

my pc is a toshiba L series:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/161948/Toshiba-Launches-the-Toshiba-Satellite-L-Series-Laptops.html

    and on this site: http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=985&game=amnesia:%20the%20dark%20descent

it says that the minimum requirements for graphics processors include AMD, the manufacturers of toshibas gpu.

any ideas for getting this working, gagging to place this?
and i think i looked at log files for something else the other nite (network), couldn't really understand what i was looking at but, where can i find the log files its mentioning?

Did you update your graphics card driver?

    From the charter:

Admitting to downloading a pirated game is now zero tolerance, and an infractable offense.

    Infracted, thread closed.
