QSat Satellite Broadband - Reliable and fast?

Hi all. Like many in Ireland, I can't get regular DSL broadband so I have to resort to other options for internet. At the moment, I am on the 3 mobile broadband system but its really become terrible. I rarely get to use the internet because the signal is so weak and as my place is not covered by the national broadband scheme, I can't get a signal booster to help with that so I've been considering satellite broadband.

After doing a bit of research, I've found QSat. I did find Onwave and Digiweb but they're very expensive. So are QSat any good? Download rates are constant and connection reliable? Thanks.

Qsat would be bottom of my list of Satellite providers, when you compare packages they certainly weren't the cheapest last time I checked. I know of 4 Onwave installs in the last 12 months locally and all have been OK (installation of one was a bit below par) and all the users are happy with the service, none would be heavy users one hardly uses a Gig a month. Reliablity seems OK with Onwave and no complaints about speed. But the download limits on all satellite connections are very restictive around 10GB per month and ping (latency) is very high so crap for game playing.

Cheers eirator for the info. Looking at Onwave again actually, they seem to offer a slightly better deal than QSat so I'd be more willing to go with them. At the moment, I can't really game with mobile broadband anyway so it wouldn't make much difference, although it does pain me as I'm an avid gamer and would like to play online, but anything better than this internet is good. Right now, my priority is reliability, and that is also a priority for my family as well. Its very frustrating to turn on your PC to go on the net to check something, only to find there is no internet. So if, as you say, Onwave is a reliable service, I'd be willing to go with them.
