    Superweeds - giant ragwort, or as they call it in the US, ragweed, grows as a result of planting GMO corn resistant to herbicide. BBC report by Matt McGrath:

    Considering the Americans spray lots of Roundup, can be used on Roundup Ready Corn 5+ times in a growing season it's always likely to happen. Roundup resistance has been known about for 8 years. It's abit like the English and blackgrass.

    we even have plants in Ireland resistant to chemicals notably Japanesse Knot weed. It a lack of chemistry by both the people applying the products and the target plants. It basically survival of the fittest in the plant world as plants can adopt over time to nearly anything
