MY OH has done some gigs in previous years which he invoiced but did not send tax returns (I think there are 3 invoices from Nov 2010, so should have been submitted last year). He is not Irish and someone told him that you have 5 years to do your tax returns. I've no experience with invoicing myself and we can't seem to find any info clear enough online so not sure how to untangle this. I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.

Depends if he would be classed as a self assessed individual or of he is just declaring additional non paye income to his yearly paye income. In the first its a form 11 return. In the second its a form 12.

Re someone telling him he had five years to file income tax returns, its never a good idea to take that sort of advice. Just go to the source.

It's his occasional additional income, he's paye apart from that. Thank you very much!
