Cold and little cough

My 7 month old son has a cold and a little cough since l last Friday. He getting Calpol and snuffle baby on his chest. How long does it take to clear the cold as we are into 6th day now and his nose is still runny. We also have saline drops as well. Any suggestions ?

Karvol in boiling water in his room? Has he a temperature? Has it moved to his chest?

Not trying to put the frighteners on people but there as been a big increase in wooping cough this year (http://www.independent.ie/national-news/infant-risk-as-cases-of-whooping-cough-rise-3234098.html)

So perhaps important to keep a close eye and\or go to the doctors.
