I saw a guy selling ESAB similar inverter in the farmers journal about a month ago for around the same notes which I would prefer to have. Bought a parweld recently myself at short notice for similar notes.

Whats the ampage and duty cycle like on your parweld or the esab you saw, i saw another 200 amp sip that can tig weld aswell for 450 which is tempting me

To be fair that seems very good value given whats included. But if your buying a welder primarly for
stick weldng i would stay away from a plant with hf as from experience they are prone to give trouble and the cost of repairs are excessive given the initial outlay. I myself have an ewm pico 160 bought from walshengineering supplies(.www.walshengineering.com) Its a basic plant but i have some amount of welding done with it. Plus walshengineering supply decent length leads and the proper type stickholder.

To me it looks fairly good and if you wanted to use for tig later the HF start is the way to go!

At the moment it will be all stick welding but maybe down the line the tig will be handy to have,
