Garda speed vans?

    As above,
    Are there garda speed vans?
    I passed a stationery garda van earlier that would be parked exactly as a regular speed van and was curious if they were doing speed checks? Always thought the high vis vans and guards with guns were what you'd most likely come across?

    yep there is indeed,usually unmarked aswell,the tell tale sign of one is the dublin reg and the darkened centre in the back windows

    Dos it matter?

    If it does there's an easy way to find out, but it might cost you €80 and 2 points.

    Ah right, I just didn't know there was!
    Unfortunately I might find out the hard way so, was slightly over 80kmh on my speedo when I noticed it today
