    Hey guys n gals,

I hope i can get some advice off some of you on here about, well swimming!
I want to get back to swimming and would love your advice on where is best to go in south dublin? Ive been looking at Dundrum and rathmines so might try one of those but the issue is I want a pay as you go pool as i cant afford membership right now, I'm also concerned about lane swimming, I know some pools do lane/lengths only! And, well ive not swam for a long time, and dont know how fit and able i would be to keep up the pace if there were others in the lane.
I spent years doing lengths in lanes with my team and it wasnt a bother to me but now im not so confident!
So basicly my question is what "pay as you go" pools on the south side do you recommend where i can get back into swimming at my own pace i.e. not in a lane, but at the same time not a kids splash area!!
    Thanks in advance :D

loughlinstown leisure centre is opening a new pool at the start of November that'll be pay as you go.

Meadowbrook in Ballinteer (near Dundrum) is a council-run pay-as-you-go pool Eu5.50 a pop or 12 for the price of 10. Open swims have 2 lanes roped off, the rest is open to splashers and drowners. Google for their schedule.

Also Glenalbyn in Stillorgan and Bluepool in Monkstown - Meadowbrook is newer and nicer, though.
