Can't find the damned thing anywhere and I've not been able to find one on the usual online places (Amazon, Pixmania to name a couple) and there's not even a mention of that model camera on the Samsung website. It was, I think, sold exclusively through Argos so perhaps that's why it's not on other sites but how do I get a new cable for it? Can't charge the camera or connect to PC without it. Have ransacked the house in an effort to locate it but to no avail. Help!

Post a picture of the port the cable plugs into. It might be a universal type connection but no way to tell without seeing it.

Looks like a type of mini USB.
Any possibility you could take an image in focus to be sure?

Best I can do with the crappy camera in my phone - really need my camera to take a good pic! :rolleyes:Camera.jpg

Gonna see if I can find anything in the box the camera came in when I get home from work, hopefully there might be some description of the type of cable in there somewhere!

Well that image is better, the corners are chamfered at 45 degrees making me think it's probably the older 'mini USB AB' connector.

Any of these fit the bill?

I have the WB710 but I’m guessing it uses the same cable as your camera. Here’s a shot of both plugs, i.e. the “standard” USB (to computer) and the skinny plug (to camera).
Both plugs have labels with micro print on them – if you want, I could squint for a very long time, try to read the print and post here(?). Let me know....

Duh, I could switch my 710 to macro.....

Guys, it looks like we've been looking at the wrong socket in the OP's posted images. The SMALLER socket that we have been focusing on is actually micro HDMI - if you squint you can see it engraved into the body of the camera above the socket. The BIGGER socket is some kind of proprietary USB socket, the cable for which can be found here: http://www.chargerfun.com/suc-c3-usb-cable-for-samsung-wb600-sl502-nv40-cb20u05b.html - or google the part number cb20u05b to find it elsewhere.
