It's almost certainly a typo, although the car does look well used.

'engine not starting possible tb broke prevous lady owner so very clean car apart for engine fault..no nct'

93K per annum in a petrol - unlikely.

93K miles is ~250 miles a day, every day - hardly likely, more like there's 75K miles on the clock and an extra digit slipped in when the person who put the ad up mashed the keyboard with their mitts.

i wouldnt say , there is big problem change engine, must be plenty around in scrapyards, just strange, that guy, didn't do himself,1.4 engine wouldnt cost more than couple hundreds, could sell car at least for 3 k. if it would have nct and genuine 74 k miles ...

It's definatley a mistake, there is no way a Golf with that 1.4 litre engine would ever rack up that mileage. :P

Not possible. That 1.4 would be lucky to see 100k without burning all the oil in the world

Don't agree at all. Assume typo and 74k miles. Bodywork looks good although photos taken when car wet. Replace the cylinder head with a secondhand one (or replace the engine), do a service and valet, then new NCT. Spend max 1000 euro, more like 800. 04 Golf with fresh NCT and new timing belt would surely make 3000-3500. They are a fantastic seller, even though I don't like them personally.

There was 1000 profit in that car. Easy to see why it sold in less than a day. I'd say bargain of the week, not dreamer of the week.

Just my thoughts, but i think, there was much more problems, as owner/dealer didnt do himself, could be multiple problems... main one is engine, and the rest are hidden... as you cant check without working engine, could be gearbox, suspension, body also, as in pictures, car is wet, cant see properly.
Such a people probably know where to invest, and where sell as is.
