Getting back into it - Help with program

    Hi,

I havent done any weights in a few years, I got into running instead. I was training in weights 3 - 4 times a week a few years ago so I have a good basic knowledge of weight technique.

I'm going to be playing American Football this year and I need to build up strength. I've trawled through various sites on weight training for Football, all of which say the most effective things to do are squats, deadlifts and cleans. My experience was mostly focused on weights for asthetic reasons rather than strength, so squats were only one part of my overall program.

Could someone give me advice on what program I should start with? I can manage three hour long gym sessions a week on my current schedule.

I'm 6'7", 110kg but about 10kg of that is belly at the moment. This is pre season training.

Ideally I would like someone to give me an idea of what I should do on each day and what weights I should start at. A few years ago, I was squating 100kg's for 8 reps. I would not be close to that now, I reckon I would be ok with 40kg :o but I plan to build up my strength over my previous levels - with a little bit of help from you guys!

    Thanks
