    Hi Angry,

I have a few boxes in the attic that I might be persuaded to let go. There are probably about 5 years worth of incomplete sets up there if that is of any interest.

C&CC - blast from the past. Excellent mag

I've read a few from the 80's. They are brilliant. No modern magazine compares to them I think :)

    Agree completely.

I have a few old copies of CC&C knocking about as well as a few Practical Mechanics and quite a number of the old Practical Classics mag from the 80s.

The mags back then were very "hands on" in the practical sense.
Quite a lot of valuable information on technical aspects of car maintenance and repair. Some very good articles on engine and gearbox rebuilds as well as starter/dynamo/alternator repairs and suchlike.

The present day mags just dont seem to provide the same level of technical information.

Past of my formative car knowledge mine are upstairs still. I look at the ads in wonder these days.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
