I was in Mallow recently and for the interest I did the Rebel Tour from the Railway station to the river bridge. It was quite interesting. However it was disappointing to see the condition of the North Cork Brigade memorial near bridge ( Its not the 1916 memorial as some town councillors call it.)
The Republican Plot in Goulds Hill cemetery and the Mourneabbey ambush memorial are no bettter. Surely there are some groups in Mallow that could organise refurbishment of these memorials
