    Hey all,

I've to head to Dublin tomorrow morning and I'm leaving from Limerick(getting the 6.20 Train). I am wondering what methods of ticket purchasing are available to me at that hour of the morning?

Is there a ticket machine that accepts cash? Or would I need a credit card?

    Cheers in advance

For reference - if you buy online in advance it is cheaper.

Online prices from Limerick to Dublin (single):
    On the day - €32.99
    1 or 2 days in advance - €21.99
3 or more days in advance - €9.99 (increasing to €14.99 from 23/9/12)

Maximum online return price is €58

A €2 admin fee applies and a further €1 credit card fee also.

    Booking office prices are:
    Single - €50
    Day return - €58
    Open Return - €63

Cheers, the cost is being covered by my employer so don't particularly care about the cost but that's very handy for future reference.

Get my ticket from a machine or vendor at a very early hour

In these difficult times shouldn't we all be trying to save our employers money wherever possible?

Yep. Cheaper to buy it online, but if you do that you still need to go to the ticket window with your booking confirmation number and exchange it for an actual ticket that will get you past the barrier both in Dublin and Limerick. Just remember that if you are planning on showing up at the last minute. Last time I took the train, I almost missed it as the queue at the ticket window was so bloody long !

Well I don't have my own credit card so can't book online, if the company are concerned about the cost then they should have got me my ticket...

I'll be at the station at around 6, so should be plenty of time...Sure could I not use the ticket machines
