Applying/ removing wax with a D/A?

    Evening all.

Simple enough question, is it possible/ recommended?

And if so, what pads would you use?

Saw some microfibre pads on cleancar.ie, but from what I gather, they seem to be primarily for compounding.

As always, all advice/ opinions greatly appreciated.

To remove wax just add a bit of wash up liquid to your wash bucket. It will strip any wax though so the paint will need protecting again when finished polishing. I've only used micro fibre cloths to polish and wax, but I'd say the pads would help to apply whatever compound your using more evenly.

Sorry, I should be more specific.

After having washed, clayed, washed and polished the at with a d/a, is it possible to buff the wax with a d/a?

Have tendinitis in my shoulder, and buffing by hand has been causing serious grief.

Yes Chuck, you can both apply and buff off wax using your DA, you just need to use a pad with no cut, like these:

    HTH.

Cheers Randy. Appreciate the advice. Any opinion on the microfibre pads on page 2?

Yeah, the CG F1 pad can be used with wax- I forgot I got one of these from Larry in cleancar a few weeks back, but haven't got round to using it yet!
