    Hi guys,

Recently bought an Iphone for first time (iphone 4s), I've been using an Ipod nano for so long and was wondering how I go about transferring my music to the new iphone. Apologies for the god awful basic question but I have no idea how to do it.

Have 1200 songs on my laptop/current ipod, id like to hook the new phone up to this comp but im terrified it will wipe all my music.

Is there a simple way of sending all my music to the new phone?

It won't wipe all your music (which you should have backed up anyway;))
Just transfer it the same way as you do for your iPod through iTunes.

yes but ill be using the iphone on the same computer, won't i have to configure Itunes with the new device? meaning starting afresh?

Ive copy and pasted all the songs to a separate folder in my music will this do? if i was then to import this folder with the new itunes?

you don't need to do anything, itunes will happily sync with 2 devices without a problem,
I think you're getting confused about the anti piracy thing, you couldn't sync with you computer and then someone else's without wiping the ipod/iphone

the device will never wipe anything from itunes
