my uncle has a 2003 1.6 petrol aswell.

it has this habbit where it occasionally has blown both headlight bulbs at once. central locking doesn't work through the keycard buttons not working, the tyre pressure sensors are all over the place and the wheels buckle very easily, faulty wiper linkage, bad coilpacks, a little bit fond of oil... theres probably more i've forgotten.

i like their styling, and it is a comfortable well spec'd car, but most certainly they quality is ****e.

The only way I'd buy a Laguna would be if it was post 2006 and from a reputable dealer.

Had one. 2002 model 1.8. It ran without a hitch. Wonderfully comfortable and smooth thing.

But that all changed when the fire nation attacked.

(Or I got a little 'enthusiastic' about driving through some floods and ****ed the loom)

If it's lasted this long without major issues then chances are it'll be fine barring owner failure.
