Fusion Formula - Explanation needed

    Hello smart people!

    I've been looking for formulas that explain how the fusion inside our good old Sol works.

    I'm aware that we don't know for sure, but I've found some comprehensive formulas here:

    The only thing I'm having trouble with are the last two segments of this formula:

    I assume e stands for energy, but what does v stand for?

    Or am I completely wrong? Can somebody please explain these last two symols?

    e (with a sub-script +1) symbolises a electron positron. The v (which is the lowercase nu from the Greek alphabet) symbolises a neutrino.

    Edit: Removed my second sentence. It was confusing because it left out a couple of steps. Note to self, do not post about nuclear fusion while drinking. :)

    The 'e' is actually a positron. The positron is the antiparticle of the electron, it is identical to the electron except for having a charge of +1. The numbers below the symbols represent the charge and the numbers above represent their relative masses.

    The 'v' (it is not actually a v, I think its a Greek letter but I could be wrong) represents a neutrino, which is another type of particle with 0 charge. The neutrino are shown to have zero mass in the reaction equation but they do have a small mass, it is just very small compared to the mass of the proton (hydrogen nucleus.)
