Been watching this for the past 3 weeks on BBC 2 - absolutely superb! The only problem (and it's driving me f**king MAD) is the sound, which is very low and hard to hear - especially with Benedict Cumberbatch muttering his way through each episode as Christopher. Anyone else noticed this?

P.S: Any advice to turn up the TV volume will be dealt with summarily!:)

    Turn on the subtitles.

Yes, old Cumberbatch is a bit of a mumbler.

Haven't all TVs got ambience and sound controls to play with, which may improve things?

Great program though. I haven't read the book and don't intend to till the last episode is done, but
I hope Christopher and Ms Wannop end up together. I don't want him to get killed
