Man dies on low protein diet

    Very very sad. Also sounds like a really dangerous diet with the lack of protein.

    Reading the website of the proponent of this diet says it all though,apparently us meat eaters have "toxic blood" and not enough "electrons" to live healthily.
    Whatever next....

    Very sad case alright. I think the headline is a little bit misleading though as I don't think the low protein aspect of the diet was the problem (even if it does sound very unhealthy):
    The court heard that Mr McGuire had a scheduled regime of very high water intake.
    Coroner Dr Brian Farrell said he may have been suffering from a chronic low sodium situation that “tipped over” on the day of his death.

    The diet was developed by Robert O Young, an alternative medicine advocate in the United States. The court heard that Mr McGuire had a scheduled regime of very high water intake.






    I think though that this is part of the diet, the website sells the salt supplemnts
    he was taking and lots of water is consumed.
