Got these bus numbers from dublinzoo.ie

    Nos. 25, 26, 46A, 66 / 66A / 66B, 67, 69

    Questions for ye

No1: Do these buses drop you outside the zoo?

No2: Do any of these buses leave from city centre? if so, where and what time?

In other words, will be in city centre around one on Sunday afternoon and which is the nearest bus that will drop us off at the zoo and how much it will be.

    Thankin ye:)

A 15 minute walk from the red lion Luas would do you good. :p

I'd agree with that - none of them stop directly beside it - I don't think any bus goes through the Park. But the 46A is pretty frequent, and will leave you pretty close to it.

Would the driver let us off if I asked him if he goes near the zoo? Im not a frequent DB user

I'm sure he would - it's pretty much where the 46A terminates these days.

The gate we're talking about is on the bottom right of the map below, described as "North Circular Road Gate". (It's at the end of the North Circular, and the start of Infirmary Road.)

    Sorry for the questions peeps

    BUT

If we chose the LUAS route, where would we get on it and what stop?

Get on at Abbey Street - Red Line - and off at Museum. The bus would leave you closer, but Luas would be good if you were going to the Collins Barracks Museum.

Will he drop us off at these gates if I ask when we get on or?

No, he'll just stop at the official stops, but he stops so close to the gates that you won't have a problem.

Would I be better getting off at museum or Heuston? Is the way to the zoo signposted?

As per what i tell the illregular's, when the engine goes off, you go off! The gates are the end of the journey.

From Heuston, cross the river, head left, pass the courts (if innocent) then next turn on the right. Zoo several minutes on the right. Probadly a 15min trek.
If you like a bit of adventure, hire bikes ~ we do.
