Anybody know which soccer clubs in the area would be open to accepting new players? I haven't played 11 aside in a while but would like to get back playing, hence I am not looking for a high standard!! :p

    DCU has a soccer club.
Yeah I am aware of DCU's team but as far as I know they require trials. I am looking for something more casual. Anybody that knows a local team looking for players, give me a shout :D

Really? Didn't know that. I was going to join the women's team this year, thought anybody was welcome to play.

I'd be up for starting an astroleague team or something for a bit of craic, I had to do trials to get on NUIGs team in 1st year but the fitness level has plummeted since then.

Yeah it was the same at UCC. I am just looking for a bit of craic and some exercise. Would definitely be up for astro turf, although 11 a side is my baby :P!

There's the Kevin's team, but I'm not sure whether trials are required for that.

On the other hand, there is a local astro-pitch up in Santry. You might want to look into playing there.
