Hi, looking for a car ATM and have seen a few Volvos for sale advertising Bi-Fuel.

After a quick search I am no wiser as to what this is or where in Ireland it is available. Anyone with experience of owning one??

Just means that they can take E85 as well as petrol (and any mix therof), which you effectively can't get anymore. Was trialled by Maxol and was not a success. Some Top garages may also sell it.

Afaik E85 or bio-ethanol is no longer sold in the Republic as the Government removed the incentive to buy a bio-ethanol car a few years back. The Volvo bi-fuel or flex-fuel can use both bio-ethanol and unleaded petrol, however they are thirsty so you need to be buying it at a bargin price to make up the difference and the fact they are difficult to sell on.
