Social Welfare Claim

    Just wondering if anyone has advice.. I have a claim for social welfare last winter for 6 weeks of unemployment. I still havent seen any money after surviving off practically nothing for 6 weeks. I have been in contact with someone in social welfare and they said it would be sorted within a week. Then they said they were going on leave.. then the inspector was, etc.. eventually I just kept emailing him and the last thing he said was that the best he could was put "asap" on my case to make it go through quicker. I have yet to hear from him or any inspector. What should I do? I feel that excuse after excuse has been given with no progress at all.

    Go to the Community Welfare Officer.
