connection to esb for a newly built house?|

i have just bought a hew house in an estate and must connect to the esb. how much does this cost? the meter ,and all is fitted.

If the meter is already fitted its just a matter of registering with an electricity supplier as a customer and getting it switched on, afaik!

I think you just pay a deposit up front and they connect you €100 or around that mark.

The easiest option would be to ring a supplier and ask them your much more likely to get an exact figure then.

Electric Ireland are the cheapest at the moment I think.

If you go to esb.ie/esbnetworks and click on Domestic customers there is a section on connections and an estimate of costs.
