Tails 'n' Trails Irish National Dryland Mushing Championship sponsored by Royal Canin is starting on 4th November at Lough Key Forest Park, Co. Roscommon. There will be male and female canicross classes at each rally, with points being awarded towards the overall championship.

Website is: www.tailsandtrails.ie and entry forms will be posted up on there in the next couple of weeks.

Other rallies in the championship are:

    11th November, Castleward, Co. Antrim
2/3rd February, Co. Monaghan - venue to be confirmed
2/3rd March Co. Monaghan - venue to be confirmed

The race length isn't certain yet, as the temperatures have been high so far this year, and dogs wouldn't have had a chance to get totally fit, so they will be between 2-3.5 miles on forest trails.

Canicross is a great sport if you love running and you have a dog, and is growing in Ireland and across Europe.
