Quick hotel recommendation?

Hey all,

Have a friend who has just asked me to post this (I tried to help him myself, but I haven't a clue).

Pretty much, he wants to stay overnight in Dublin on Friday. I was wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere? He'd like to be somewhere that's easy to reach from Parnell St. (as that's where he'll be getting dropped).

"Cheap and cheerful - with emphasis on cheap" was his 'budget' description :pac: :rolleyes:


Anyone have any idea?

Be quite pricy for a City Centre hotel at such short notice.Most of the usual spots like Jury's,Best Western etc are booked out too.

He could get the Luas from Abbey Street (3 min walk from Parnell Street) to the Red Cow Luas stop to this place.Room's are around €65.

Be about a 30 minute journey on the Luas,and the hotel is just across a footbridge from the Red Cow Luas stop.

lots of cheap places to stay in the Gardner street area, very close to Parnell street, don't be expected 5 star luxury but fine for a night's kip

look at the map view and select a hotel nearby.
some great deals on there esp if you sign up for the flash deals , ive got hotels on stephens green for £15 a night!!!

Likely story when this was a request for BUDGET hotels and yours costs about €150 a night.

How cheap is cheap OP?

Beacon Hotel in Sandyford is normally about 80 euro and is amazing, 4 star, and grand to get to by luas.

The Grand Canal Hotel is lovely as well, about 60 euro a night and far more central.

Howdy again, all.

Friend sent me a text earlier. Said he seen this thread and found it helpful. Said he booked a room (but didn't say where/how much he paid. I'll try to find out and let ye know).

He doesn't use boards but wanted me thank all of you for your help (and of course, I appreciate it, too).
