    Hi,

Not sure where to put this really, so please move if necessary.

Basically I was driving on the N7 a couple of days ago and a large piece of plywood was on the road. It seemed that the car in front of me went over it and with that it flew up and hit my car causing some damage to the front of my car. Is anyone responsible for this? There's no way it blew on to the road with the weight of it. I've been on to the council who are denying liability. The NRA say that it's up to the council.

Cant give legal advice as per charter (which incidentally gives examples of how to phrase in the hypothetical but never mind).

The person who left the plywood there is ultimately (probably) responsible. There is MIBI but in an almost identical case (oil I think) I'm pretty sure MIBI were held not to be responsible as they'd never be able to know who did it for sure.
