On Charlie 10 came to the gaff with a refresher bar and chilli onion rings, and asked would we go for a shot of crows, so we headed off. As we were nailing a few crows on comes the farmer and after cracking a few jokes and stacking his bails with him what came out to greet us only Mr. Fox as seen in pictures, licking his lips......All and all we had a great days shooting some fine shots and great practice for the season ahead. Top man Charlie 10

looks like a great days shooting there. had 42 last weekend, was a mixed bag of feral pigeons, hooded crows, jackdaws and rooks over barley stubble. seems to be going well for everyone.

    hi dodderangler,
i usually just dump them in the ditches so they cant be seen and leave them to the fox. i usually spread them out a bit though just so you dont find wings and feathers everywhere after the fox has his feed

i am going to start taking a couple back and freezing them to use as decoys, although i find crows come into my pigeon decoys more than pigeons do!

Mate has one, there a great gun. Some value for money and would rival any Beretta or Browning in my view.

Looked like a good bit of craic, just got a camo H&R semi, and glad to see the positive comments. Read a good bit about them on the US forums and a lot of good stuff there too, they're actually made by a company in Turkey called Sarsilmaz and are a Beretta copy.

Would the lead not be harmful to the hawk? I know lads with ferrets wont feed corvids killed with shotguns as feed and only gofe the ferrets rabbits or crows shot with a .22!

If the crows are winged it's fine but if shot with lead I'd have to skin the crow and take out breast and see if there's any entry holes from pellets of there is I won't give it to the hawk
But if I planned in doing the devoting I'd always use steel shots as they are no harm and actually help the hawk digestion
But yes your right the lead will kill them
