Ferrari or fiesta at the end of the day someone was driving it and was lucky to walk away so a haw haw gif would be juvenile.also initial reports suggest it wasn't their fault.

    1999 Ferrari 348 GTB
What a coincidence, Saw a very same colour, and yellow reg having a chat with gardai yesterday. Almost sure that it was a 348 too, but I suppose it could have been a 355.

I passed this on the other side of the M50 and thought 'ouch!'
We had been travelling Southbound on the M50 and can tell you it was greasy just 10mns before.
Happened at about 4pm -ish this afternoon.

Driver suddenly blacked out from shock after realising he'd bought a yellow one...

This Ferrari was used by a popular internet based gift/experience firm. I drove it last weekend, on the m50. In my opinion the car was not in good mechanical condition, and I complained to the firm operating the driving experience about the vehicle's condition.

I hope there were no injuries.

Yellow is the national racing colour of Italy, so its actually "the" colour to have in my opinion.

I seen it yesterday heading South on the M50...at a fair rate of knots too.

If you are paying money for a ferrari driving experience why the hell would you want to drive on the M50 at 4 oclock?!

They're pretty busy - they were doing 10 trips on the day I did it.

150eu for 20minutes in half dead Ferrari in m50 traffic... I would not even wish that to my biggest enemy, I am not even talking about it as a present.

I assume they'll be, eh, cancelling the remainder of the "experiences" for the next while?

Considering in what condition it was before the crash I am pretty sure they will just use some sticky tape and have that girl back on the road earning money in no time!

Thought that was the experience car alright.

Surprised if it was a punter driving it at the time, I've never seen it above 4k RPM when it's on hire!

Hope the company have the correct insurance in place....

See that all the time. I'm only around the corner from the west county. It's always ragged looking and mounted on the kerb

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,012 ✭✭✭✭Cuddlesworth

He hit something anyway, there was a huge oil slick trailing going downhill around 50 feet to where the multicolored slide marks began. Nearly took me out at 6pm.

If it was on hire when this crash happened and if that person happens to get in touch with others who complained about car condition, the insurance claim would be very interesting if inspection confirms the car was not roadworthy.

Saw this just after it happened , was driving behind it-it passed us out about 10 seconds before he flipped it - CRAPPY build quality btw, the roof flattened like a bad umberella. Too fast, too close and too swervy was my take on what happened, but I just saw it go by and then came onto it flipped on its roof so anything could have happened.. The pasenger side roof was crushed flat - if it was just the driver, lucky. A passenger would have been de-capitated.

Not the same car that crashed but you can see how if he hit oil, that would cause major problems with the rate of acceleration. Anyone know anything about the occupant(s)? Was anyone hurt?

Others that have driven it very recently have said it had a very sticky throttle.

So a 20 year old car which those who have driven it say is in bad condition, untaxed and unregistered. Insurance company will no doubt find it quite interesting.
