Tonight's WWE RAW takes place from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Confirmed for tonight's show is the return of WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart. Bret was brought back for Pat Patterson Appreciation Night but will be making a TV appearance, as announced by General Manager AJ Lee.

While the Pat Patterson Appreciation Night happenings are scheduled to be off-camera for the live crowd only, it's interesting to note that WWE's website is advertising Patterson for tonight's show.

Advertised for tonight is John Cena vs. CM Punk, likely the dark main event. Some of the SmackDown stars advertised for tonight include Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, World Heavyweight Champion
Sheamus, United States Champion Antonio Cesaro and others. WWE is also advertising Big Show so it looks like he will make his return after taking a little bit of time off.

WWE is focusing on the following points for tonight:

    * Will Bret Hart have anything to say about The Montreal Screwjob?
    * What's up with the Paul Heyman and CM Punk relationship?
    * Is AJ Lee out for revenge on Vickie Guerrero?
    * The fallout from Booker T banning the Brogue Kick
    * Has CM Punk rekindled John Cena's fire within?

    I want a Bret/Punk interaction.

"Best in the world" vs "The Best There Is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be"

and an absolutely perfect place to turn a crowd against him.(especially in Montreal)

Certainly that has had a double meaning the last few weeks.

So what do the jobbers have to do to er..show their appreciation for Pat Patterson then?!

Wasn't Pat Patterson strongly linked to being involved in the Montreal Screwjob - I wonder if that affected his reputation in his home city? Or if he will still get cheered.

Also, what's the chances for HHH coming out to give appreciation to the man who got sacked for suggesting WWE were dedicating too much TV time to Vince's son-in-law.

With Bret hanging out about there are many potential storylines and moments that could happen tonight. Gonna try to stay up for this.

No doubt Laurinitis will be out to take whatever Patterson's finisher is.

only problems is that Montreal is in what Lawler calls "Bizarro World", so they'd probably still cheer Punk because he's a great WRESTLER.

It's still gonna be a case of 1-007 - "Forward, Fast Forward." though I am looking forward to seeing the fans go nuts for Bret where hopefully he isn't left shaken nor stirred.

Like I said before he deserves a night back in front of the Montreal fans, I hope he isn't used as a pawn to get Punk over more as a heel but I've a feeling that's the route they may go.

Montreal fans are usually pretty great so this could be a good Raw. Just hope they don't fall asleep.

As much as i love seeing Bret back, i hope his mic time is minimal tonight.

According to several sources in Montreal, Bret Hart is all over tonight's episode of Raw as it is currently conceived. So, for those of you who hated the Raw 1000 episode where Hart was wasted as a ring announcer, you won't have a repeat here. He's in a number of segments.

One thing Hart will not be doing, however, is wrestling. He's not slated to wrestle on Raw.

You underestimated how loved Bret is in Canada.

"The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be"

That'll be what this segment will be all about. Bret Hart's old catchphrase

    Random thought,
A few years ago WWE would be scrambling to shut down RAW streams.... now there are loads out there :P

    they stop caring? :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Are they chanting shut the f*ck up? :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 846 ✭✭✭MAJR

On another note, CM Punk, once more, has to prove himself by confronting a guy who's over fifty, and even worse this time, someone who suffered a crippling injury that forced him to retire. I suppose he's going to beat him up as well.

"I know all about jerry lawler, me and jerry lawler have history so me and him go way back.."
Was there any more ways he could have said the same thing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,270 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Asshole chants, haven't heard that in a while.

Brodus Clay, Jerry Lawler or Randy Orton...hmm...a fat dancer who cant beat Damian Sandow, a man in his sixties who's already been comprehensively beaten by Punk or a current main-event level star...yeah...difficult choice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,325 ✭✭✭smileyj1987

I wonder could tonight be Lawler vs Punk with Bret coming down and putting punk in a sharpshooter .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 846 ✭✭✭MAJR

Is Antonio Ceasaro the modern day Nikolai Volkoff?

It's almost like they're stacking the odds in Orton's favour!

I know! It's like they want to put Orton in there against Punk. Anyone would think these things are rigged!

I wonder if they expected hug to win last week for Bryan-Kane?

Cloverleaf is a town in Texas. Apparently a wrestler called Sam Sheppard invented the move; maybe he was from there I dunno.

Sheamus should rename it the North Great George's Street Cloverleaf.:pac:

Cabra Cloverleaf sounds a hell of a lot better.

Sheamus sounds a lot more confident here, good stuff.

Some bits were okay but for the most part I thought that sucked. You can really tell at points that the writers of this show think they're working on a sitcom. A bad sitcom.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,949 ✭✭✭A Primal Nut

These sitcom ideas are a nice idea - maybe they should happen in the ring though. Kinda feel sorry for the live crowd during those segments. They paid to see action right in front of them, not on a tv screen. Also, the crowd can make these segments more fun.

Bet you didn't know he was half Jewish either? ;)

The US open final is great if yas are looking for something to watch during the ad breaks/diva matches.

I wasted three minutes watching that in the hope that Kaitlyn would spill out of that top.

One of the good points about the 3-hour raws is we get PPV quality matches like this. Must be 20 minutes?

This crowd isn't as "smart" as i thought they would be cm sucks chants awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I liked how the doctor guy got absolutely no reaction.
