Speeding tickets/penalty points question

I'm loaning my car to my friend in a few weeks. He's visiting from America and want to be sure of the official details for speeding tickets/penalty points before I let them off.
Obviously I know that if I'm the one driving the car and I get stopped by a Garda for speeding, that they'll put points on my licence and send a fine to me in the post.
But how would it work if my friend gets stopped for speeding - would the ticket go to him there & then or would it still come to me in the post?
And would they still get penalty points?
And how does it work with the hidden speed cameras - I imagine that if he's caught by them that the fine would automatically come to me cause I own the car - right?

Not sure how all of this works so if anyone could explain it to me it'd be great. cheers

if it's a camera van It comes to you in the post and you have the option if naming the correct driver if it wasn't you driving.

if physically stopped by AGS, they will take the drivers details and send directly to them.
