I booked a one way ticket from Dublin to Bangkok with Emirates.
I am just wondering, is it possible to change the departure airport from Dublin to London as I want to fly out with my friends who are flying from there.

    Thanks

Very doubtful, you'll have to read the terms and conditions of the ticket you bought and check. Or ring Emirates customer service.

Highly unlikely. Iv found flights from London to be way more expensive than flights from Ireland but maybe they might allow you to pay a fee to change airport then pay the extra cost of the flight too.
Totally not worth it for a 14 hour flight.

You'll probably all end up on the same plane from Dubai to Bangkok anyway, it is possible to do it but it is expensive, I think €100 / €150

    Thanks guys,

theres nothing really in the t&cs. I've called Emirates and they said I can pay the difference between flight prices plus €50 change fee so only €120 cos the flights are booked months in advance so not much difference in price.

    thanks Again

€120 to travel on the same flights as your friends (and you may not get to sit bedside them) ?

If it was me I would fly the way I originally booked and have €120 worth of knees-up with them in Bangkok when I got there.

Main reason Im doing it is my mate is a terrible flyer and can't really fly alone whereas I'm not bothered - was actually sorta looking forward to flying alone but has to be done.

Get them to pay the difference so!
