how to declare extra income

    hi there. i am currently in full time enployment but earn a small amount on the side was wondering what way to go about declaring the extra income so im not doing anything illegal. at a guess income would be 1-3 k.

    If the income is less than 3,174 then a Form 12 is the way to go.

    Otherwise you're into registering as a self-assessment taxpayer who has to file a Form 11, pay preliminary tax, and everything is generally more involved...
