    Hey,

    Just downloaded the Raceroom Racing Experience on Steam. Its really good. Its free. Its only a teaser so far, 1 car and one track, the driving model is amatuer only but dont let that put you off, its pure sim to me.

    Apparently the proper release will have add on content and its from Simbin, so you know its good.

    The car is an Aquilla, Dutch supercar and the track is fictional, but it has loads off offcamber turns and blind ones too.

    Anyway, its worth a shot, there is a global leaderboard for times.

    Current fastest is a 1.21. Best I can manage is a 1.27.

    Its really worth a shot, I think everyone here will like it. :D

    What did you think of it CherryGhost?

    I never thought I would say this, because I never thought it would happen, It seems a very good Sim/Arcade balance. The car seems to have a real weight to it, gets kinda floaty in the dip just after the tunnel, this thing is definately not glued to the track.

    I always loved Simbins games, well not so much GTR EVO, it seemed like a step backwards, but GTR 2 is still one of my favourites to go for a blast.

    Its looking really good this game, cant wait to try the GET REAL driving model. ;)

    I've had this game installed for ages but only gave it a try properly the other day. They have a few competitions up now.

    I tried the mini competition so far, it's a bit of craic having something to aim for, got into the top ten fastest Irish drivers but in the 1600s internationally.

    Some of the competitions are fixed set ups which is handy because it gives a bit of a level playing field.

    I thought that was last weekend and I couldn't find any of the free weekend cars :D

    Your right on the car sounds. I normally used to leave gears in automatic on racing games. I've switched to manual in rre cause it's so easy to distinguish when revs live is ending. Proper sounds in that game :)

    Thats sound between gear change when car is trying to deliver the power [especially from 1st to 2nd] into them wheels is just sublime, by far the best any game as come to the real sound.
    What a lot of people dont realize is this is the true successor to GTR2,ie the majority of sector 3 are made up of simbin.
    Its a great sim, just lagging a bit behind AC and GSCE imho in physics and force feedback, still up there with the best though, certainly more of a sim than pcars.
