Don't know if anyone has had this issue but have a Mazda 3 (2007) and about 4 weeks ago I came out to turn it on and all the radio stations had reset as had the clock.

I didn't think much of it until this week when it has happened three or four times. Also had situation where the remote locking wouldn't work so I thought it was the battery in the remote but once it reset everything was fine.

Also noticed when I sat in and put key in ignition all the dials zoomed up to max and then came back down.

And on one occasion I was driving for a few minutes and display was blank, radio wouldn't turn on but then it all started working again!

The car is operating normally other than this!

    Any ideas?

As said, the cars battery is low.
I'll be honest a new battery is the way to go.
If you have an alarm it maybe draining the battery if it is low.
But from experience new battery will sort you out.

    Thanks for the replies.

But if the battery is low how come there is no issue with having enough power to start the engine! I thought that was the hardest on the battery.

It is in terms of current required, but voltage is different, electronics are more fussy about correct voltage.

The first cold morning your car wont start.

Ok - this morning I was driving and everything went off again - radio, temp display, time etc.

However, about a minute later it all came back on!

It was like a computer rebooting!

Do you think this is still a battery issue!

Perhaps time for a visit to the dealer!

    Yes,

All the terminals are sound, tight with no corrosion!
