Ok, I've been charged with finding a decent laptop for a friend. I know tech vaguely more than the person in question so am turning to boards for help.

Laptop will primarily be used for browsing, typing documents and general everyday college stuff.

It won't need to run any hefty software, no gaming etc. so something lightish, slick and attractive should do the trick.

In terms of RAM, I guess 2gB is standard with 200ish HDD space, ya? But obviously the more RAM the better.

The budget is in and around €500.

Recommendations of good deals available online or in stores please?
