I have an LG K450U TV which is Saorview compatible. Is it possible to receive Saorview without installing a dish on the outside of the house?

    I'm in Dublin 1.

Saorview is DTT - Digital Terrestrial TV - It doesn't require a satellite dish

Saorview is a terrestrial service, and as such doesn't need any satellite dish.
Saorview is received by aerial and depending on your lacation you may be able to receive it via a small internal aerial such as this type or if in a weaker signal area an external aerial will be required like this

Excellent! Any idea what the signal is like in Dublin 1 (Capel Street) ? Just trying to figure out which one to get.

Try a cheap indoor aerial first. Best to try hanging it out a window etc and do a scan on the TV. If that works then find the best place indoors where it continues to work. Don't spend more than 6 euro on an indoor aerial. If you have a window facing south it may be best. If you have trouble getting anything try a manual scan on channel 30.

If an indoor aerial does not work then you need an outdoor aerial pointing south.

Any recommendations for an ariel at that price?

[edit] and the only accessible place for the indoor ariel (and probably outdoor ariel too) is north facing.

Picked up an aerial for €3 in pound shop. It finds 8 channels and 10 radio stations when it scans, but they are unwatchable. Extremely choppy sound and visuals.

Thanks for the help anyway guys.

Those aerials are very sensitive to where they are placed. Moving by a few inches can make a huge difference, as can the person standing next to them. Try moving them about till you get a good picture, and then use the signal level on the box to get the best result.

The aerial i use is good and costs about 10 euro from Lidl - they sell them every couple of weeks.
