I'd say this might be some of RoverJames detective work on the way.

    Another EVO moment I suspect.

Actually, never mind, I just read the VW thread.

That was in america for a photo shoot in August...as per the Performance bmw magazine...

please refer me to my post where I say that the car was in america for the photo shoot in august? or are you just waffling?

The photoshoot was done in London, UK in July for the August edition of the magazine, don't post unless you have the correct story

    When have I stated that I have owned a 535d:confused: ?

I was asked for the magazine scan for the photoshoot, people got it

unhappy with what I gave, the fanboys have opened up a thread dedicated to the car and they want photos now

next they will want my driver licence and insurance details and a drive in the car

this thread serves no purpose but as a haven for keyboard warriors

It'd want to be a lot more than the front end, considering that's a proper E90 M3. That or BMW Performance magazine have made some rookie mistakes.

yes, the car is considered an e90/e46 hybrid if you read through the article and not jump to conclusions it explains that,

    much easier to say a trio of e9x m3s than a duo of e9x m3 and a e46/e90 hybrid m3 for a magazine title

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think BMW Performance magazine would have jumped to put an e46/e90 M3 with a GTR engine supercharged as the sole cover and main spread article. But that's just speaking as a car photographer and someone that knows a few editors of a few car mags and websites around the world.

Also speedhunters I'd imagine would love to do an article on it

It's also funny they got the blurb wrong on their website
It seems to us that everyone in the United States is driving a modified E9x M3 at the moment, so we decided to take a closer look at three supercharged examples from AutoCouture Motoring.

Why mention the US if it's a UK car? By the way how much are transportation costs for 3 e90/92 M3's from new jersey to London for a photoshoot? I'd have thought it'd be much easier to fly a photographer to the US... but that's just me. Guess my budgeting skills are all wrong!

Also 1150 is rather cheap for a US LHD Imported e46/e90 M3 GTR with a supercharger, I can't even beat that for an e46 320cd, who's your insurer?

The car is a US import into UK as I have said previously, that is the reason behind saying it is a US car, read my previous posts as you seem to love jumping the gun.

I do not own a car magazine, I am not their accountant, how they wish to spend their budget is their choice, do not consult me on financial matters

    Liberty insurance

So the magazine payed to transport your car from the US to the UK and you have it insured in euro with Liberty even though you're in the UK yourself?

Right, all petrol heads are picture whores. You think woman are bad at showing off? **** no! We post pictures of our cars washed, or we go 200km to some location, because car looks good in its background, how ****ed up is that?!
So you are asked to show pictures of your car! It's like the most orgazmic thing to motorist where other petrol heads can't get enough of it!!! So aither you are Some "impotent petrol head"or you are full of brown stuff. No petrol head will refuse to show off his car, whic adds at least 6 inches!
Just show us the car and makes us jealous like some school girls jelly about other girls handbag, or just run away from here and change your name, again I guess.

no where in any of my posts have I suggested the magazine imported my car, that is w.u.m talk

No but you're implying they imported 2 other E92 M3's which were both supercharged at the same place as the red E90 M3, to London, and then shipped them back to the US for a photoshoot.

I have no interest in that magazine - this forum is full of enthusiasts but there aren't that many reeeeeealy special car owners represented.

To have such a special car in our midst would be quite a big deal.

On the other hand, we've had more than our fair share of Walter Mitty-style bluffer gobsh1tes, and if that's what you are then it would be better off to establish that as soon as possible so that you can be ignored.

You can see why it's important to establish facts in a situation like this...

Flicked through 3 pages and not a single picture, what is the point of this thread exactly :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 814 ✭✭✭JerCotter7

The dashboard is from an E90. So is the windscreen. Look at the top strip compared to an E46. The doors also have a straighter section on top on the E90 compared to the E46. So basically what Cryogen means by front end swap was everything passed the back number plate was swapped.

Like someone said in the last thread E46 M3's never even came 4 door.
